Havanatmak Mantra Japa is a highly revered form of mantra sadhana in which every single recitation of the mantra is accompanied by an Ahuti — a sacred offering into the Yajna Agni. Each mantra is thus individually offered to the Divine through Agni, who is regarded in the Vedas as the sacred messenger carrying offerings to the deities.
Because every mantra is recited together with an Ahuti, this process requires considerably more time and concentration than traditional mantra japa. It also requires continuous maintenance of the sacred fire and strict adherence to the prescribed Vedic procedures.
According to the Vedic tradition, Havanatmak Japa is considered one of the most powerful forms of mantra worship. The combined effect of Mantra, Agni, and Ahuti is believed to intensify the spiritual energy of the Anushthana and invoke the grace of the presiding deity more effectively.
All of the sacred mantra anushthanas like Navagraha (Planetary) Mantra Japas, Mahamrutyunjay Japa, Santan Gopal Mantra, Mahalakshmi Mantra, Shri Sukta, and several other Vedic and Tantric mantra sadhanas can be performed in the Havanatmak form.
हवनात्मक मंत्र जप मंत्र साधना का अत्यंत पूजनीय रूप है, जिसमें मंत्र के प्रत्येक जप के साथ यज्ञ अग्नि में एक आहुति दी जाती है। इस प्रकार प्रत्येक मंत्र अग्निदेव के माध्यम से — जिन्हें वेदों में देवताओं तक आहुति पहुँचाने वाला पवित्र दूत माना गया है — व्यक्तिगत रूप से ईश्वर को अर्पित होता है।
चूँकि प्रत्येक मंत्र आहुति सहित जपा जाता है, इस प्रक्रिया में सामान्य मंत्र जप की तुलना में कहीं अधिक समय एवं एकाग्रता लगती है। इसमें यज्ञ अग्नि का निरंतर संधारण तथा शास्त्रोक्त वैदिक विधियों का कठोर पालन भी आवश्यक है। मंत्र, अग्नि एवं आहुति का संयुक्त प्रभाव अनुष्ठान की आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा को कई गुना बढ़ाता है।

For planetary mantra japa, the prescribed count is calculated by adding the four Charans and their Dashansh (one-tenth). Example (Sun): the count for one Charan is 7,000 — four Charans total 28,000, and the Dashansh of 28,000 is 2,800, giving a prescribed count of 30,800. In Havanatmak Japa the Dashansh is not added; only the four-Charan count is performed. The figure shown for each planet below is the count we quote for booking, with the precise Charan-calculated figure alongside it.
ग्रहों के मंत्र जप की निर्धारित संख्या चार चरण एवं उनके दशांश (दसवाँ भाग) को जोड़कर निकाली जाती है। उदाहरण (सूर्य): एक चरण की संख्या 7,000 है — चार चरणों की कुल संख्या 28,000, तथा 28,000 का दशांश 2,800 है, जिससे निर्धारित संख्या 30,800 होती है। हवनात्मक जप में दशांश नहीं जोड़ा जाता; केवल चार-चरण की संख्या ही की जाती है। नीचे प्रत्येक ग्रह हेतु दिखाई गई संख्या बुकिंग हेतु उद्धृत संख्या है, साथ में यथार्थ चरण-गणना संख्या भी दी गई है।
